ABOUT THIS ROLE:
We’re seeking a Platform Engineer to join our team in building and maintaining our cloud-native platform. You’ll work at the intersection of infrastructure, data, and application development, helping to create robust and scalable systems that power our products.
YOUR TASKS:
- Design and implement cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Pulumi) on AWS
- Architect and maintain data pipelines using Modal, ensuring efficient data flow between various storage solutions (SQL, MongoDB, S3)
- Collaborate with development teams to build and improve deployment frameworks using SST
- Implement and maintain data synchronization mechanisms across different storage solutions
- Design scalable and reliable systems that support both batch and real-time data processing
- Optimize infrastructure costs and performance while maintaining system reliability
- Provide technical guidance on best practices for cloud infrastructure and data architecture
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Strong experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure management
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code, particularly Pulumi and SST for applications
- Solid understanding of TypeScript and Python development
- Experience with a mixed Serverless approach with Container technology
- Knowledge of data pipeline development and orchestration
- Familiarity with different database technologies (SQL, MongoDB) and object storage (S3)
- Understanding of distributed systems
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with AWS Step Functions and other event based syncing mechanisms
- Knowledge of data synchronization patterns and challenges
- Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Previous experience with full-stack TypeScript applications
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools
